Ranking the Milwaukee Bucks top scorers of all time: Giannis leads the way
The Bucks can be considered one of the more successful teams in the NBA. Although they are not among the most decorated franchises like the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, or Los Angeles Lakers, they have still achieved notable success with three championship titles (1971, 2021, 2024). They have also featured many outstanding players with impressive scoring ability. In this article, basketscores.com ranks the Milwaukee Bucks' top scorers of all time.
Milwaukee Bucks top scorers of all time
List updated as of March 2026.
5. Sidney Moncrief (11,594 points)
Moncrief is one of the greatest legends in Milwaukee Bucks history. He was not only known for his defensive ability (winning Defensive Player of the Year twice) but also as a consistent and efficient scorer in the 1980s. In 10 seasons with the Bucks, he scored 11,594 points, averaging 16.7 points per game with a field goal percentage (FG%) of 50.2%. His highest single-game performance was 43 points (against the Denver Nuggets on November 19, 1983).
Moncrief still holds the Bucks' records for most made free throws (3,505) and most free throw attempts (4,214) during his time with the team. This reflects his aggressive offensive style, frequently driving to the basket and drawing fouls. Despite being a guard, he was capable of defending multiple positions, from quick point guards to strong forwards. He combined physical strength with strong anticipation, making him a difficult opponent throughout his career.
4. Glenn Robinson (12,010 points)
Joining the Bucks in 1994, Robinson brought a powerful and versatile offensive game to the team. His strengths included turnaround jumpers and face-up scoring, allowing him to be effective from many areas on the court. In addition to outside shooting, “Big Dog” was also strong in post-up situations and close-range finishes thanks to his physicality.
Standing at 2.01m and weighing over 100kg, he was too quick for bigger defenders and too strong for smaller ones. During his eight seasons in Milwaukee, Robinson consistently averaged around 20 points per game, except for one injury-affected season. Alongside Ray Allen and Sam Cassell, he formed one of the league’s most dangerous offenses, leading the Bucks to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2001.
3. Khris Middleton (12,586 points)
Khris Middleton does not rely on speed or physical dominance, but instead on technique, rhythm, and composure. Similar to Glenn Robinson, he is highly effective in the mid-range area, especially after dribble moves or turnarounds. His height (2.01m) and shooting accuracy make him very difficult to defend. Middleton is also a strong perimeter shooter, holding the franchise record for most three-point field goals made (1,382).
Thanks to his performances, Middleton earned three All-Star selections and won the 2021 NBA Championship. During that title run, he delivered many crucial shots in key moments. A notable detail in his career is his strong performances against the Boston Celtics, often drawing comparisons from fans to elite scorers due to his efficiency in those matchups.
2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (14,211 points)
Although he played only six seasons with Milwaukee (1969–1975) before moving to the Lakers, Abdul-Jabbar transformed the team into a dominant force, leading them to their first NBA championship in 1971. He averaged 30.4 points per game during his time with the Bucks, the highest in franchise history, along with a 54.7% field goal percentage.
Kareem combined fluid movement, exceptional height (2.18m), and elite technical skill. His signature skyhook shot was nearly impossible to block, as he extended the ball high above defenders. With his reach and efficiency, he became one of the most unstoppable scorers in basketball history.
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo (20,538 points)
At the top of the list is Giannis Antetokounmpo, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and still performing at a high level. With over 20,000 points, his record is likely to stand for many years. His 50-point performance in Game 6 of the NBA Finals is one of the most memorable moments in league history. Despite his talent, Giannis has remained loyal to the Bucks, making him a true icon for the franchise.

In terms of playing style, his long stride and wingspan allow him to cover the court quickly, often needing only a few steps to reach the basket from mid-court. His scoring efficiency in the paint is among the best in the league. He is also one of the few players to win both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same season (2020). Currently, Giannis continues to lead the team and aims to guide them deep into the 2025/26 season.
